Yeoman Warder

Yeoman Warder in Tudor State Dress, photographed about 1890–1900, (coloured later). The Yeomen Warders, formed by Henry VII in 1485, are tasked with guarding the Tower of London and the crown jewels contained within. Today's Yeomen Warders must be retired non-commissioned officers from the armed forces of the Commonwealth realms who have at least 22 years of service.
